Instagram does not offer a download button for other people's Reels, but saving one with nzlny is quick. You copy the Reel link, paste it into nzlny and tap Download. The only part that changes between devices is where the file lands afterwards. This guide shows the exact steps on iPhone, Android and a computer, and how to move the video into your gallery.

Step-by-step guide
On iPhone and iPad
Open Instagram and find the Reel. Tap the paper plane icon, then Copy link. Open Safari and go to nzlny.com. Tap Paste and then Download. When the result appears, tap Download video, and confirm with Download when Safari asks. The Reel is saved to the Files app, in the Downloads folder. To add it to your Photos, open Files, tap the video, tap the Share button and choose Save Video. For carousel photos, open the ZIP in Files to unpack it, then save each image the same way.
On Android
In Instagram, tap the paper plane under the Reel and choose Copy link. Open Chrome and go to nzlny.com. Tap Paste, then Download, then Download video. The MP4 saves to your Downloads folder and usually shows up in the Gallery or Google Photos right away. To skip the copying step next time, open nzlny in Chrome, tap the menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen. Then you can pick nzlny straight from Instagram's share options and the link is filled in for you.
On Windows or Mac
Go to instagram.com and open the Reel or post. Copy the address from the browser's address bar. You can also use the three dots and Copy link. Open nzlny.com in a new tab, paste the link and click Download. Click Download video for Reels, or Download all photos for a carousel ZIP. Files go to your Downloads folder. You do not need to be logged in to Instagram on the computer for nzlny to work, as long as the post is public.
Troubleshooting common errors
If a Reel will not load, check that the account is public. Posts from private accounts cannot be downloaded. Make sure you copied the full link, which should start with https://www.instagram.com. If the owner deleted or archived the post, the link stops working. Instagram Stories and highlights are not supported, so those links will show an error. On iPhone, if nothing seems to happen after tapping Download, look in the Files app under Downloads. If you are offline, reconnect and try again.
Tips for better results
Copy links from the paper plane or three dots menu, not from a screenshot or a message preview. For carousels, use Download all photos to get every slide in one ZIP, and save videos from the carousel one by one. Large videos take a bit longer on mobile data, so use Wi-Fi when you can. Rename files after saving so they are easy to find. If you share a saved Reel, tag the creator or ask them first.

Why is my downloaded Reel not in Photos on iPhone?
Safari saves it to the Files app first. Open Files, go to Downloads, tap the video and choose Share, then Save Video.
The Reel says private or unavailable. What can I do?
nzlny can only open public posts. If the account is private or the Reel was removed, it cannot be downloaded.
Can I download Instagram Stories with this guide?
