nzlny respects creators and copyright owners. It does not host or publish content: it retrieves a public post from its original platform only when a user asks, and it keeps no copy. If you want your content kept out of nzlny, this page explains how to block it, how to send a formal notice, and how we handle repeat misuse.
1. Creators: block your content from nzlny
If you are the creator (or an authorised representative) of a public TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or X account, you can ask us to block specific posts or your whole account from being retrieved through nzlny. Email copyright@nzlny.com with the subject "Block request" and include:
- the links to the posts, or your profile link if you want the whole account blocked;
- a way to confirm you control the account, for example by temporarily adding the word
nzlny-blockto your profile bio, or by writing from the email address shown on the profile; - your name and contact email.
Blocking is free, and you do not need to prove copyright ownership for content on your own account. We aim to act within 2 business days.
2. Copyright owners: formal notice
If you believe nzlny is being used to make your copyrighted work available without permission, send a written notice to copyright@nzlny.com that includes all of the following. These elements follow 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) (the US DMCA) and also meet the notice-and-action expectations of the EU and most other countries.
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is enough).
- Identification of the copyrighted work, or a representative list if many works are involved.
- The exact post URL(s) on the original platform that you want blocked, with enough detail for us to find them.
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner.

Notices that are missing these elements may be delayed. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)). Please consider whether fair use, fair dealing, private copying or another exception applies before sending a notice.
3. What we do with a valid notice or block request
- We add the identified posts to nzlny's blocklist, so the Service no longer retrieves them. Where a notice covers an account, or the same work is targeted repeatedly, we can block the whole account or the matching items.
- We delete any cached details we hold about those posts.
- We reply to confirm what we did, and keep a record of the notice. We may share a copy of the notice, with your personal contact details removed, with the Lumen database (lumendatabase.org) for transparency.
The content itself stays on the original platform. To have it removed from the internet, please also report it to that platform through its own copyright reporting form.
4. Counter-notice
If you believe a post was blocked by mistake (for example because you are the creator or hold a licence), send a counter-notice to copyright@nzlny.com with: your physical or electronic signature; identification of the blocked material and its link; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was blocked as a result of mistake or misidentification; your name, address and telephone number; and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which nzlny may be found) and will accept service from the person who sent the original notice. We forward the counter-notice to the complainant and may lift the block after 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they have filed a court action.
5. Repeat misuse
nzlny has no user accounts. Where we can reasonably identify a person, network or automated client repeatedly using nzlny to infringe, for example through repeated notices tied to the same source, we will block their access in appropriate circumstances.
6. Other legal notices and trademarks
For privacy, data-protection or creator-data requests, write to privacy@nzlny.com. For trademark concerns or any other legal notice, including from authorities, write to hello@nzlny.com. We read messages in English and Arabic and aim to reply within 5 business days.
nzlny is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by TikTok, ByteDance, Instagram, Facebook, Meta Platforms or X Corp. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
