To install nzlny, open nzlny.com in Chrome on Android and tap Install app, or in Safari on iPhone tap Share and then Add to Home Screen. nzlny is a web app: it installs from your browser in a few seconds, takes up almost no space and updates itself. There is no APK file to download and nothing to approve in an app store.
How to download
Open nzlny.com in Chrome (Android) or Safari (iPhone).
Tap Install app, or on iPhone tap Share › Add to Home Screen.
Open nzlny from your home screen, or share a post link to it.
Once it is installed on Android, nzlny appears in the share menu of TikTok, Instagram, X and Facebook. Tap Share on a post, pick nzlny, and the link is filled in for you. On iPhone, the icon on your Home Screen opens nzlny full screen; copy a link and tap Paste as usual. It is the same free downloader as the website, with the same rule: public posts only.
Step-by-step guide
Install on Android
Open nzlny.com in Chrome. Tap the Install app button on the page, or open Chrome's menu (the three dots) and choose Install app; on some phones it says Add to Home screen. Confirm, and the nzlny icon appears on your home screen and in your app list. It opens in its own window without the browser bar. Samsung Internet and Edge offer the same option in their menus.
Share links straight to nzlny on Android
After installing, open TikTok, Instagram, X or Facebook and tap Share on a public post. Choose nzlny from the list of apps; the first time you may need to tap More to find it. nzlny opens with the link already pasted and starts fetching the post, which saves the copy and paste step. If nzlny is not in the list, open the installed app once and try again.
Add to Home Screen on iPhone and iPad
Open nzlny.com in Safari. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow), scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add. The nzlny icon now opens the downloader full screen. iPhone doesn't let web apps appear in the share menu, so copy the post link in the other app and tap Paste in nzlny. Downloaded files go to Files › Downloads.
Install on a computer
In Chrome or Edge on Windows, Mac or Linux, open nzlny.com and click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or open the browser menu and choose Install. nzlny then opens in its own window and can be pinned to the taskbar or the Dock.
Is it safe, and how do I remove it?
The nzlny app is the same website in an app window. It needs no account and no special permissions, and downloaded files pass through nzlny without being saved on our servers. To remove it, press and hold the icon and choose Uninstall or Remove, as with any other app.

Why can't I share to nzlny on iPhone?
iOS only shows App Store apps in the share menu. On iPhone, copy the link and tap Paste in nzlny instead.
Does the app work offline?
Without a connection it shows an offline page. Downloading needs the internet, because nzlny has to fetch the post.
